Celebrating 25 years of dedication and service.

On Wednesday, November 23rd the Sisters of St Joseph of Cluny celebrated a 25yrs of dedication and service to the parish of St Luke the Evangelist.

The occasion was marked with a mass of thanksgiving followed by lunch in the convent. Present at the celebrations were the two sisters who were first appointed to serve here; Sr Stan and Sr Monica, both hale and hearty and looking great.

In his homily Fr Eoin thanked the sisters for their dedication and service and noted that as a community we are much richer for their presence here among. He also  noted that what has been most prominent for him is the ‘holiness’ of the sisters and pointed out that holiness is something that we should all be striving for.

Sr Rowena, the Provincial leader of the Sisters of St Joseph of Cluny, thanked Fr Eoin but also and most especially the parish community of St Luke’s for their continued support which she said has been a great blessing for the nuns.

Thank you sisters, and we look forward to celebrating the Golden Jubilee of your presence here in our parish.
